what's the difference between change & EXchange? in a personal sense, why is it more gratifying to exchange one's life(style)?
this was last friday's word of God (relayed by bro. ike) when i attended el shaddai.. well, u see.. to change one's life is a good first step.. if u ask those around u, many will say that changin urself is difficult and changin others is seemingly impossible.. change is not static.. it is constantly movin, fluctuating.. once u change, there is a tendency to change again.. there is no ending.. on the other hand, when u exchange ur life for a new one in Christ Jesus, u are living in a new-found glory.. u live a life of contentment.. it's true that exchangin ur life to follow Jesus will have consequences (such as ridicule, additional trials, & sometimes isolation from secularity).. it's not an easy path to follow.. but there are positive consequences as well (liberation from the desires of the flesh, a deeper connection w/ the Lord, a more fulfilled view of ur blessings, gifts, & talents).. i never viewed it like that until friday.
[Lord, i pray that u will empower me with ur most precious Spirit.. please give me the will to exchange my life for You, not just to change.. college is filled with so many changes.. most of which is made by the evil spirit.. give me the power to rebuke all these temptations, so that my focus is on u.. and Lord, i'm not just askin this for myself.. i pray that u place ur loving hands on all the college students who are facing so many temptations (whether it be sex, smokin, drinkin, & even the simplistic action of ditching class).. give them the strength to be vistorious over the devil.. i pray this in ur most precious name, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.]
I'm going to stop procrastinating ... once I get around to it.
